Do you allow yourself to have some fun every day?
Lately, I’ve been so obsessed with my writing work and taking care of my kids, and feeling upset about my low earnings, that I didn’t dance for a few days.
Dancing is my way of processing all that I’ve been sensing as an empath, to use my body in ways other than sitting and standing, and to have fun!
Today, after seeing my essay—I Lost Myself as a Mom and Reclaimed Myself Through Dance get published in the lovely Inspired Writer publication, I finally took my trusty new tripod and beautiful silk fan veils to my favorite park.
I’d love to share my little impromptu dance video with you here:
Dancing in nature, and feeling confident enough to be seen and even record this on video, makes me feel so alive with joy. It feels like my life has so much more breathing space and ease again.
Have you allowed yourself to have some fun every day? Having fun helps us feel light-hearted, and being light-hearted is definitely one way to be gentler with ourselves.
